Motherhood made easy -with Momcozy

Updated: Oct 10, 2023

I honestly don't know where to start when talking about breastfeeding, because everyone's experience is different. But when I think of my journey and how far I've come, I can't even begin to explain it. It's truely been a rollercoster of mixed emotions.

All I know is that finding your own groove is all you can do. Listening to that mum instinct and not taking to heart the negative comments. There has been some really helpful advice and products that I have found along the way.

When I came across a company called Momcozy, I was really surprised with their products. They're not only really good quality but they've been an essential part of my journey. They're also making the change to be more environmentally friendly with their silicone breastmilk pouches. Which if you know me, I'm all for!

First of all I was sent the Momcozy S12 Pro Duel hands free breast pump, which was honestly a game changer from my old manual and cabled pump. I could actually get on with my daily activities while effortlessly pumping milk for my baby, without being confined to plugs and cables. Honestly every busy breastfeeding mum needs that in their life. You can even take it on the go with you.

For the most of the time, our hectic mornings often start by juggling the daily school routine. Making sure everyone's fed, dressed, teeth are brushed and bags are packed ready to go out the door. All while stuck underneath this one nursing.

Which very often comes with it's challenges but I'm finally starting to find the way around my new found life of a mum of three, with Lily turning 13 weeks old it gets slightly easier with every passing day.

Once the girls are finally ready, the two youngsters are in the double pram, oldest eagerly on her scooter and we're off on the morning school run. I usually get half way to the school before having carry my rather clingy baby. She loves the closeness, which is only natural for a breastfed baby.

I’ve experienced a clingy baby before, but a breastfed baby is clingy on another level! Having the Momcozy wrap stashed under the pram has saved me on many occasions! 🙌🏼

I've been using the baby wrap carrier from Momcozy for a bit now and I can honestly say it's the most comfortable wrap I've owned. It's absolutely effortless to put on while giving you the ability of hands free which is great when I also have a heavy double pram to manoeuvre. What I really love is that you can operate it one handed, which I have struggled with other brands to adjust or even wrap on the go without dragging the wrap over the floor frantically trying to get it on as quickly as possible while you have a screaming baby and also running late. It even acts as a privacy shield, as you can actually breastfeed while wearing it (Which I've done many times and people have been completely oblivious to it)

The rest of the day mostly consists of nursing, baby wearing and not really getting anything done. The chores that do need doing, are made 100x more bearable while baby wearing.

On those days that feel so unbearable, I'm grateful to be able to pump milk off and hand the responsibility over to my partner to feed. Or if I need a night out away from it all, they've come in very handy. They're even small enough to put into my handbag, just incase they're needed, which I've done many times before!

The Momcozy S12 was especially great for those first few weeks, when we were dealing with jaundice and struggling to get back up to birth weight. I was having to breastfeed while pumping to top up with expressed milk, which was a very stressful time.

I only wish when I look back on these days, that I don't just remember the struggles. But the memories of the girls being so little and needing their mum, because we all know that won't last forever..

It's not very often that the end of my day ends as relaxing as this and usually when it does it's been a very stressful put down and I've actually fallen asleep in the tub..

Self care is so often forgotten about in the midths of motherhood, between everyone else's needs, the daily chores and keeping small humans alive! Our needs are very often forgotten about or to tell the truth we're just too damn tired to care about ourselves.

I've been very close to getting mastitis on a few occasions while forgetting to care about myself.. Not to mention it taking it's toll on my mental state. Constantly being needed. When all you really need is just those 5 minutes to yourself.

The lactation massager from Momcozy has been great on the occasions that I've really needed the excuse for a good soak in the bath to help with any discomfort, caused from of a stressful night of constant nursing. The 3 adjustable vibration modes effortlessly relieves the pain and discomfort. Not to mention improves milk flow, unblocks plugged breast ducts and improve latching by encouraging natural let-down.

I can now honestly rest at ease with these great Momcozy products! Thank you Momcozy, for having us mums covered!
